Postdoctoral Postition (Nolan Lab)

The Trevor M. Nolan laboratory is excited to announce an opportunity for a Postdoctoral Scholar position in the Division of Biology and Biological Engineering at the California Institute of Technology. Our research focuses on understanding how cells communicate as organs grow, using the Arabidopsis root as a model system.

Our lab aims to dissect the molecular events that govern the transition from cell proliferation to differentiation and how these processes contribute to overall organ development. This involves exploring the dynamic cellular interactions and signal integrations that occur as cells navigate environmental and developmental cues.

The selected candidate will elucidate the spatial and temporal dynamics of cell states within the Arabidopsis root. This includes using cutting-edge technologies such as single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, live imaging, and in vivo CRISPR screens to map gene expression and cellular interactions during root development. For further details of research within the Nolan lab, see www.trevornolan.science.
