Research Summary
Single-molecule/single-cell proteomics; quantum measurements with nanoscale devices.
Profile
Professor Roukes' research is currently focused primarily on single-molecule analysis of proteins and protein complexes in both the classical and quantum regimes. An aspect of these efforts is the development of new technology for deep profiling of the single-cell proteome. Among his group's other research pursuits are: quantum measurements with nanoscale devices, nanosystems-enabled computational networks, and integrated neurophotonics.
Research Centers
The Kavli Nanoscience Institute; The Proteome Exploration Laboratory.
